Why is this so simple?
Do I have to pay a monthly fee?
There is no subscription costs to use the portal or appear as a supplier to Affiliate Partners.
There are charges should you decide to use optional features such as Open banking, obtain copies of Title or Plans from HMLR, AML and ID verification plus some other services requiring payment to be made on your account.
I already have a solicitor that I refer to, can I still use the system?
Absolutely! If you currently use a panel firm and they are not already integrated with us, please drop us a message and we will do our best to add them as soon as practical.
If you refer to an individual firm, simply invite them to join us with a free account where they can set their fee table to provide you with instant quotes to compare against 100’s of alternatives.
You can set your preferred suppliers in your preferences to push a preferred solicitor or even only offer their service.
Do I need my own HMLR account?
No, we run a central account to access Land Registry searches for Title info, Title plans and Copy of Lease.
Also, ID verification and Open banking is managed by our central reseller account.
If the search or check is completed by you directly, you will have the option to deduct the credit from your account or make a card payment with your client.
If the client completes via your invitation, they will be requested to make a card payment at checkout unless you have set your account to cover these fees.
I use internal Mortgage Advisors, can I access other services?
If you have your own internal Mortgage Advisor(s) or have an existing relationship with an Advisor(s), you can have them create an Advisor supplier profile.
You can then set them as your chosen supplier for the service and also set a preference for if they are visible to other affiliates to send referrals to.
Your chosen advisor(s) will then be promoted to top of search or the sole option(s) to your client referrals and you can use the system to track and manage all internal and external referrals in a simple Smart report.
Do I earn fees from other services that my client takes up?
How can you offer the same Solicitor and same product at a lower price than I can get myself from my current panel?
The larger law firms have different contractual obligations with different Panel management firms meaning that their fees may fluctuate during any month dependent on their workload and activity.
This often means that at one point in the month, your preferred solicitor will be cheapest on Panel A then later in the month they may be quoting lower on Panel B, C, D or other.
As we search multiple panels in a single quote, you can trust that your client is getting the best deal currently available.
What if another business invites one of my existing clients?
We use unique identifiers such as email or mobile numbers to match invited clients to the Affiliate account.
In the event that the client details appear in multiple Affiliate Partner accounts, the customer is presented with a selection option to advise who prompted them to obtain a quote or service and the Affiliate Partner selected by the client will dictate who receives the referral commission.
How does Move Smarter make money?
We make money from a variety of channels including reseller packages and volume overrides.
By combining 100’s of affiliate referral partners through a single referral funnel, we are able to negotiate enhanced referral fees that would not be offered on small volumes and this way we are able to ensure that you receive the same or more fees than you would by going direct. We also provide you with free access to the systems and technology that can be developed as a volume provider.
